This year we were lucky enough to travel to sunny Las Vegas to film a show video for Licensing Expo Las Vegas for the third year in a row. Having previously filmed at London’s Brand Licensing Europe too, we’re aware of what’s needed to capture all of the action from these exciting events.
Over three busy days we capture interviews, cutaways, timelapses and product close-ups to piece together an engaging promo video to showcase the range of brands and characters at the exhibition, as well as the opportunity for building relationships and making deals.
As well as thinking about the usual graphics for a video (name straps and logos), it helps to look at other key messages that you want the viewer to be aware of. It helps to include important information or stats about the exhibition or interesting facts to add more detail and context to the event. We aimed to highlight some key stats from Licensing Expo, such as the amount of attendees, visitors and brands through the use of onscreen graphics. We worked with their approved brand colours and fonts so that the graphics integrated well within the video, whilst getting creative with the delivery by including colour overlays and flares to make them stand out.
